Heidi Pauer's favorite word is "possible". During her 22 years of teaching high school English, she has always seen the possible in every student. She is not afraid of trying something new, pushing the boundaries, and taking risks all in the name of creating a better learning environment for her students. Although her official teaching certification is in English, she considers herself to be a mixed media teacher. She blends her creative passions of theater, visual arts, music, poetry, and movement to empower her students to learn curriculum deeply as well as life lessons. Central to her teaching philosophy is creating a community of empathetic learners who are actively engaged in meaningful lessons.

Heidi has extensive experience in team teaching, creating interdisciplinary curriculum, project based learning, and integrated arts. She was awarded NH English Teacher of the Year in 2003 and her entrepreneurial spirit is shown in her craft business, Kind Finds. She has an overwhelming desire to share her creativity in education with other teachers and administrators and was awarded the Christa McAuliffe Sabbatical to be a creativity coach in New Hampshire schools during the 2015-2016 school year. She is thankful for the opportunity to share and collaborate with other teachers and help them come up with a customized plan for cultivating creativity in their classes.
